A Chain Reaction! Sponsored Cycle Ride31 May 2011
On Saturday 14th May 2011, eleven cyclists rode fourteen miles from Bardney (near Lincoln) to Woodhall Spa and back to raise money for ROAD and Acts Trust.
The day began with sunshine and a good wind behind them, and while the clouds caught up with the riders as they made their way, the day was a huge success. The team had a picnic lunch at Woodhall Spa before making their way back towards Lincoln.
Simon Cartwright said “It was a great day; fun had by all and lots of money raised too!”
The wind proved a little more tricky on the homeward journey, but everyone arrived back safely with big smiles on their faces, despite some sore bottoms!
Early indications are that £800 has been raised for the event - a fantastic amount! This will be divided between ROAD and Acts Trust.
A massive thank you to all the riders who gave up their time, and to everyone who sponsored the day!
