Dance Factor is a hit!10 December 2010

The snow may have been thick on the ground, but the atmosphere was on fire at Newlife Centre last Saturday night for the Dance Factor Final.

Young people across Lincoln have been meeting every week to practice and perfect two street dance routines. Meeting in eight different locations, the teams have been working hard for nine weeks across Lincoln.
Over two hundred young people performed on the night to an audience of almost a thousand.  The night was a huge success; Keith Taylor, senior sports development officer at the City of Lincoln Council, said it had been “absolutely brilliant”.

The Energize Team said the groups were rehearsing from 2pm on the Saturday afternoon and really supported each other. Rowena said “they were really going for it when each group was performing, shouting and screaming; even when the dance off was going on their opponents were there, clapping away and cheering. It was great to see such fantastic attitudes.”

The Black Out team went home with the trophy for the night, and will be joined by the rest of the top four, Doll Domination, Ignite and Rhythm Academy in performing at The Bank event in May 2011.
