Energize in Saxilby06 August 2010

The summer holidays are in full swing, and this week Energize have been busy in Saxilby. Energize have on offer a whole range of activities available from sports, dance and swimming to hair and beauty, creative arts, and popstars, there’s been something for everyone.

Stuart King, part of the Energize Team, has been helping to run the schemes this week; “we’ve had a really great week, it’s been great to see all the young people we’ve encoutered making new friends and taking them on new adventures.
“There’ve been smiles everywhere you look all week, and a great sense of community which is fantastic.
“We’ve met over 150 young people this week, and no one’s been sick on the bus journeys – a personal highlight for me!”

The highlights of the week have been the trip to Go Ape in Sherwood Forest on Wednesday evening, and the day trip to Pleasure Island on the Firday.

There are still three weeks left of Energize schemes; they’re visiting Moorlands from the 9th-13th of August, St Giles from the 16th-20th of August, and Birchwood from the 23rd-27th of August.
