Many people living on our doorstep are on the edge of poverty, deprivation and despair. Acts:RESTORE aims to empower people to bring improvement and a lasting change to their own lives. We aim to provide people with the right tools to rebuild their lives by offering a safe place for people, building trust, giving practical support and advice, signposting and mentoring.
Acts:Restore Projects currently include:
Butterflies is a ladies’ pamper evening taking place every Wednesday from 6.00-8.00pm at New Life Church, behind the Odeon Cinema. The team aims to create a space for women to have a break from their demanding lives, while building up their self esteem.
With a team of pamperers ready and waiting, Butterflies is the ideal opportunity to make some new friends over a cup of tea and a freshly made cake. Each week there is the chance to enjoy for free the skills our volunteers have to offer such as hand and shoulder massage, nail painting, facial treatments and more.
Butterflies will soon also be taking place on one Saturday morning each month – keep an eye on the calendar for more information!

Esteem provide volunteers who support the work of Probation, Police, Addaction and Lincolnshire Action Trust in providing a regular drop in facility in Grantham for those who are marginalised from society through offending and drug or alcohol abuse. We aim to strengthen the effort of all the partner agencies involved in the rehabilitation of offenders, to reduce crime and assist in their re-integration into the community.

We will provide you with all the resources we have available to make your journey easier and to overcome any hurdles you may have in the way.
We will encourage you and motivate you along the way so that you don’t feel like you are on your own.

Foodbank provides emergency food parcels for people who, for whatever reason, find themselves with empty shelves and no money to spend. Food is kindly donated by people from the local church community, from schools and through collections outside supermarket entrances. This food is then arranged into hampers to suit the requirements of the individuals and families in need. In the first 6 months of operations Foodbank, along with partners Lincoln Community Larder, helped over 1,000 people. Foodbank is a national initiative set up by the Trussell Trust.
Debt - so easy to get into and yet so difficult to get out of! Being in debt can affect every area of peoples’ lives. Debt faces not only low income families but thousands of people from all walks of life. Christians Against Poverty offers a practical solution - preparing a budget that prioritises spending for food and essential bills, and negotiating with creditors to stop interest and charges. We are delighted to partner with Christians Against Poverty to run the Lincoln centre and money management courses in Lincoln and Grantham. To visit C.A.P.’s national site, click here. She was spotted by one of the Amigos volunteers who invited her to come into the church, eat something and warm up while…
