Brightening the Journey: Introducing ‘Daylight’

For many across Lincoln, the Night Light Cafés have become a familiar beacon of hope. These safe spaces offer vital, non-clinical mental health support during those challenging evening hours when other services are often unavailable. As Acts Trust continues to grow and evolve alongside our community, we have recognised an opportunity to make our support pathways even clearer and more cohesive.

We are therefore delighted to announce that our well-established Restore Programme is being rebranded as Daylight.

This transition is more than just a change of name; it is a strategic move to create a stronger synergy between our two flagship services. By aligning the identities of Night Light and Daylight, we are building a more intuitive bridge for our guests. While Night Light provides immediate comfort and a listening ear during difficult times, Daylight is designed to be the next step, a progression into long-term empowerment, confidence, and personal growth.

Why the change? For years, the Restore Programme has done incredible work empowering adults with essential life skills, money management, and employability coaching. However, we want the journey from our evening cafés to our daytime empowerment programmes to feel seamless. For someone visiting a Night Light Café, the concept of ‘Daylight’ offers a natural, hopeful progression. It represents the ‘dawn’ after a tough night—a place where immediate support transforms into the sustained warmth of community and skill-building.

Simon Hawking, CEO of Acts Trust, shares the vision behind the rebrand:

“Our mission is rooted in empowering people to end the negative cycles of poverty, and we understand that well-being and financial stability are deeply linked. By rebranding Restore to ‘Daylight,’ we are strengthening the connection between our mental health support and our empowerment work. We want every person who visits a Night Light Café to know that a clear path is waiting for them. Daylight is that path, a space to find the tools, community, and confidence needed to truly thrive and look forward to the future.”

What to expect from Daylight The core mission that made Restore so impactful remains unchanged. Daylight will continue to offer its comprehensive journey, incorporating Well-being sessions, Budgeting Skills, Money Coaching and Job Support.

By enhancing this synergy, we are ensuring that no one has to navigate their journey alone. Together, Night Light and Daylight represent a full circle of care in Lincolnshire, ensuring that support is available in the dark, and opportunity is ready and waiting in the light.
