Energize work with young people aged 8-18 years old across the city of Lincoln, in schools and community centres during term time and across various estates and communities during the school holidays. Our aims are to:

RAISE

Aspirations and self-esteem in young people in order for them to reach their potential.

IMPROVE

Young people’s lifestyle choices, health and well-being.

REDUCE

The risk of social exclusion, crime and antisocial behaviour.

SCHOOLS WORK

At Energize we want schools to thrive and succeed in the vital role they play for young people in Lincoln, which is why we wanted to do something to help.

Since 2006 we’ve been partnering with Lincoln schools by providing support to pupils in group and one to one settings.

This support includes:

  • ─ LIFT Mentoring
Our one-to-one mentoring program, and is brilliant for young people who struggle with behavioural or emotional challenges such as anger, self esteem, social skills, anxieties or a difficult home environment.
  • ─ PEER Mentoring
A program which will empower pupils to support each other within their schools. This will offer basic coaching, safeguarding and listening skills training to prospective peer-mentors who will then be matched up with younger pupils in the school.
  • ─ After Schools Clubs
We offer a range of after school clubs such as football, multi sports or arts and crafts.
  • ─ Transition Days
Energize leads personalised transition days to help schools to say a huge ‘welcome’ to a new cohort of pupils and get off to a great start. We facilitate a range of activities with pupils and teachers to enjoy together such as inflatables, street dance, sports and team building games.
  • ─ TAILORED Activities
We take a flexible approach and would love to hear about ways we can help outside of the activities listed in here. Over the last 14 years, we’ve led lunch clubs, classroom support, street dance, homework clubs and even in-school concerts!

YOUTH CLUBS & HOLIDAY SCHEMES

We run youth clubs in the evenings in various locations across Lincoln:

Tuesdays:
5:30pm-7pm Lincoln Central Youth Club, Alive Church, Newland, LN1 1XG, ages 8-10
7:00pm-8:30, Alive Church, older group, ages 11-18
Wednesdays:

During school holiday periods the Energize Team can be found on the estates (Ermine, St Giles, Monks Road, Moorland and Birchwood) around Lincoln running positive activities including sports, dance and craft as well as running trips to theme parks, escape rooms and other various activity days!

“Energize runs one of the most successful intervention programs our school has ever had.”
“The engage course has been good for me because it has given me confidence. I know that I can be who I am and I don’t need to change for other people.”
