We are a passionate and determined team who love to learn and serve together. And with 15 years of experience working in the City, we are a bold, empowering and reputable force for good.
The role of the RAFT Casual Worker: Tutor Team Leader is to lead the ESOL teaching team at the International Welcome Cafe (IWC). This will involve running one of the teaching groups while supporting the team in the delivery of the other teaching groups. Preparation for the groups and informal training will form part of the role, as will representing the IWC at occasional meetings and events. The IWC is an Alive Lincoln Central community group, and so part of the role will be to liaise with the Community Worker to support them as they lead the group.
You will be part of the internal RAFT department (Restore And Food Teams) which currently includes Lincoln Foodbank, the Restore Programme and Lincoln Community Grocery. You will be line managed by the RAFT Services Manager.

As an organisation seeking to deliver services within a Christian context, some posts can only be filled by Christians. The nature of these posts or the context in which they are carried out, and their link to the ethos of the organisation, give rise to a ‘protected characteristic’ (or ‘genuine occupational requirement’) for the post-holders to be Christians.
This post has been identified as having an “occupational requirement” under Schedule 9, Part 1, paragraph 1 and 3 of the Equality Act 2010 where it is a requirement that this post be filled by a Christian due to the requirement of the post holder to lead or participate in worship, prayer and bible-study.
The postholder will be required to demonstrate an active and clear commitment to the Christian faith.
