Summer update from the Youth Team
Written by Caitlin Russell – Carr:
This past week the Youth team have been on the Ermine estate in the North of Lincoln delivering HAF and other schemes. We’ve been able to connect with so many different young people, had some great conversations about healthy food and done so many exciting activities. The HAF sessions this week were about mangos, cherries and kiwis – who knew a kiwi vine could grow to be 8M tall? We’ve also had some great workshops take place this week. We’ve worked with Noise Academy to deliver a DJ workshop where our young people got to learn about mixing music and have to operate a mixing desk! We’ve also taken part in our very own sports day and golfing activities to get us in the olympic spirit.
We also had the privilege to run the North Family Fun day this week. We partnered with some local businesses to bring a variety of stalls, bouncy castles and loads of avitivies to the families of Lincoln. It was so good to see so many people connect with us and each other. We even had some children return the following day to our activity afternoon after a great experience.
Later in the week we even have the opportunity to take some young people bowling which is always popular and such an enjoyable time. We love seeing young people try new things and challenging themselves.
We are so looking forward to the rest of Summer in different locations with different activities and trips. We can’t wait to see you.
