Q&A with Andy Bull: Assistant Services Manager for Restore & Food Teams
New-in-post colleague, Andy Bull, has joined the Acts family as Assistant Services Manager for the Restore & Food Team. We caught up with him about what brought him into the third sector, what he wants to achieve, and his life away from work. Over to you, Andy…
Q: What attracted you to the role?
A:Simply being able to make a difference in someone’s life.
Q: What did you already know about the (Acts) Trust?
A: I knew that Acts operated Foodbanks and that they ran the Night Light Cafés to help people who struggle with their mental health in the evening.
Q: What are your main roles and responsibilities in your new job?
A: I help to assist with the running of Foodbanks within the Lincoln area and helping to plan and run our self-help ‘Restore’ courses for our guests.
Q: What is something you’d like to see this year in Food and Restore team?
A: That the teams collaborate as well as possible, and that we mingle with the other projects teams within Acts to support them and the people that they come into contact with.
Q: Tell us more about YOU – what do you do for fun/in your spare time?
A: I play guitar and I like to play video games.
Q: Tell us one interesting fact about yourself…
A: I have lived in Lincoln all of my life, with the exception of one year that I lived in Bethlehem, PA, USA, and one year that I lived in Auckland, NZ.
Q: How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
A: Smiley, Caring, Peaceful.
