Flying the Flag on Lincolnshire Day
By Simon Hawking
#LincolnshireDay saw Lincoln Cathedral lit up in the colours of our County’s flag last night. Did you see it? 🟢🔵🔴🟡

I am really proud to be from Lincolnshire, there is something special about the people and the places.
When you look up, you might see the RedArrows 🔴 or some of our magnificent buildings (Lincoln Cathedral, the Boston Stump, St. James Church in Louth 🔔)
What do you see? 👀
When you look down, you see miles and miles of farm land… Lincolnshire produces 1/8th of the country’s agricultural output.
The #BreadBasket of the nation!
Food poverty isn’t a food issue – there is plenty of food in Lincolnshire, it’s a money and social issue.
Reducing the cost of food for those on low income while reducing food waste is one of our aims at Acts Trust which is why we’re running Lincoln Community Grocery, in partnership with The Message Trust and thanks to City of Lincoln Council #LincolnTownDeal

Here in our Grocery, we’ve also been flying flags. Celebrating the diversity in the City and our members, we want this to be a place where everyone feels #safe and #welcome. This is surely an important characteristic that we want Lincolnshire to be known for?
